waterproofing

A very important concept to wet area tiling in New Zealand is waterproofing. Waterproofing means applying a liquid under-tile membrane that is completely impervious. Having a good waterproofing job done is often just as important as the tiling itself. This is because it’s security to your homes’ structural properties in case of a leak or flooding. In any case, you have nothing to worry about when having an under-tile waterproof membrane applied as I can dehumidify the area, fix any cause of the problem and have the wet area functioning again.

Having waterproofed hundreds of showers, bath cradles, kitchens and laundries, you can be assured that water will stay inside your wet area, safeguarding your homes’ structural properties.

Ramon Dings Tiling is registered at the Auckland and Hamilton city councils for internal under-tile waterproofing. This saves you time and money as it eliminates the need for a council inspection of the waterproofed areas prior to tiling helping to keep your project on track.

Upon completion I can provide a free of charge Producer Statement 3 to warrant that the waterproofing has been carried out in compliance with Clauses B2 Durability and E3 Internal moisture of the New Zealand Building Code.
